WHO’S TESTING THIS STUFF

I’m Jeremy Moon.

I explore the latest technology in a simple and honest way. Smartphones, gadgets, smart home devices: reviews, comparisons, tips and hands-on demos to help you choose the right tech.

If you love technology and want clear, real opinions without the hype, you’re in the right place. The gear gets installed in my own house and lived with, usually with four kids wandering through the shot.

HOW I TEST

I don’t guess. I measure.

Everything here gets installed in my own house and used until it tells me something real. Sometimes it beats the claim, sometimes it falls short. Either way you get the actual number, and the conditions I got it under.

HOLLYLAND LARK M2
Reviewers said it dies at 200ft
I got 1,000ft

Still transmitting at 1,000ft in clear sight, and 600ft from behind a hill. The range is far better than the internet claims, and I worked out why everyone disagrees.

RYOBI 40V MOWER
40 minutes on the box
35 on a real hill

Timed on a slope with the bag on, not a flat bench. Still a genuinely good mower and an easy recommendation under half an acre, as long as you plan for 35.

DBSONO G901
My basement hits 90 decibels
$30 was enough

The noise cancelling roughly matches the pair I’d been using, and these don’t squeeze my head. That’s why they’re the ones I actually reach for.

WHAT I COVER

Real gear, tested in a real house.

Not a studio bench and a spec sheet. The stuff gets installed, used, and lived with, usually with my kids wandering through the shot.

01

Smart Home & Security

Cameras, doorbells, sensors, automation. Does it really install without drilling, and does it still work on day thirty?

02

EDC & Everyday Carry

Flashlights, pocket tools, the things that live on your keychain. Tested by actually carrying them.

03

Audio & Wearables

Headphones, mics, watches. Long-term check-ins too, including when a firmware update ruins the battery.

04

Home & Yard

Mowers, printers, the unglamorous stuff you actually buy. Timed and measured, not guessed at.

New review every few days.
